Staff and children at Gusford Primary School in Ipswich are celebrating being awarded the Artsmark Silver Award, in recognition of the school’s commitment to excellence in art teaching and learning.

Artsmark is the only creative quality standard for schools and education settings, accredited by Arts Council England. Artsmark ensures that every young person can be creative and access a diverse, high-quality cultural education.

A very proud Heather Madsen, Executive Headteacher of Gusford Primary School said “We are delighted to have received this award which recognises the importance that we place as a school on all elements of the arts. Our pupils really enjoy all the creative opportunities we offer here at Gusford and it is clear how much they benefit from these opportunities”

Lynsey Holzer, Chief Executive Officer for 91´óÉñ added “Congratulations to Gusford! This is a very well-deserved award which celebrates such an important area of excellence for our young people and highlights the commitment and dedication of our staff to promoting and supporting the arts.”
